چکیده

An non-contact type application on the permanent magnet and linear Hall-effect sensors gauging rotary system is introduced in this paper. For such a contactless system, there will be low wear exhaust. This leads to a longer life span in association, and in particular, high reliability to achieve continuous use. The main component of the angular gauge depends on the Hall voltage under the rotation of the magnetic induction. This kind of system is low-cost and holds reliable operation in special environmental conditions, such as high vibration, humidity, or dust. Higher accuracy and precision can be achieved as shown in the experimental results. Keywords--sensors, gauging, rotary, vibration, humidity, dust.

A Real-time Motion Tracking Wireless System for Upper Limb Exosuit Based on Inertial Measurement Units and Flex Sensors (TECHNICAL NOTE)

This paper puts forward a real-time angular tracking (motion capture) system for a low cost upper limb exosuit based on sensor fusion; which is integrated by an elastic sleeve-mitten, two inertial measurement units (IMU), two flex sensors and a wireless communication system. The device can accurately detect the angular position of the shoulder (flexion-extension, abduction-adduction and interna...

A Low Cost Sensorless Control Drive Circuit for of Low Voltage Switched Reluctance Motor

Shaft position sensing is an essential part of switched reluctance (SR) motor drive In order to synchronize the pulses of phase current with the period of rising inductance of the proper motor phase. Direct sensors such as, Hall effect and optical encoder are commonly used in SR motors. The purpose of this paper is to present an indirect shaft positioning sensing known as "sensorless " control ...

Analysis of the Frequency Effects on Design and Back-Iron Characteristics of Double-Layer Secondary Single-Sided Linear Induction Motors

Input frequency is one of the important variables in design and performance analysis of single-sided linear induction motors (SLIMs). Changing the frequency changes both the dimension of the SLIM in design process and the performance of the designed motor. The frequency influences the induced eddy currents in the secondary sheet as well as saturation level of the secondary back-iron. In this pa...

A New Approach to Detect Mover Position in Linear Motors Using Magnetic Sensors

A new method to detect the mover position of a linear motor is proposed in this paper. This method employs a simple cheap Hall Effect sensor-based magnetic sensor unit to detect the mover position of the linear motor. With the movement of the linear motor, Hall Effect sensor modules electrically separated 120° along with the idea of three phase balanced condition ( va + vb + vc = 0 ) are used t...

Piezoelectric Motors with a Stepping and a Resonant Operation Mode

Ultrasonic linear piezomotors have several advantages compared to electromagnetic motors in specific applications such as in high-vacuum conditions and where no magnetic field is allowed. These compact directdrive motors are fast, but low speeds and high-resolution positioning are difficult to obtain. On the other hand, several non-resonant piezosteppers were developed, resulting in very accura...
